BharatQR becomes World’s first nationwide interoperable payments service. National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Visa Inc. and Mastercard Inc come together to make it. It will face tuff compition from PayTM. PayTM also seems facing the heat and planned to invest Rs 600 crore to improve and expand its own QR code-based payments network and add 10 million merchants across 650 districts.
