How to integrate Google Analytics 4- Site Kit plugin & Manual

  1. Sign in to your Google Analytics account.
  2. Click Admin.
  3. At the top of the Property column, select your property.
  4. In the Property column, click Data streams > Web.
  5. Click the data stream for your website.
  6. Under Google tag, click View tag instructions.
  7. On the Installation instructions page, select Install manually:
    On the screen, you’ll see the JavaScript snippet for your account’s Google tag. Your Google tag is the entire section of code that appears, beginning with:

Paste your Google tag immediately after the on each page of your website.

Data collection may take up to 30 minutes to begin. You can then use the Realtime report to verify that you’re receiving data.

Using Site Kit plugin

  1. Log in to your WordPress website.
  2. Make sure your site is publicly accessible (meaning your site isn’t in maintenance mode or only accessible through a password).
  3. In the left navigation menu, click Plugins.
  4. Click Add new at the top of the Plugins page, then search for “Site Kit”.
  5. Click Install Now on the Site Kit by Google.

  6. Once the plugin is installed, from the menu on the left, click Plugins.
  7. Under “Site Kit by Google”, click Activate.

  8. Once the plugin is activated, on the left hand side, click Site Kit.
  9. Click Sign in With Google.
  10. Select the Google account with an existing Google Ads or Google Analytics property.
  11. Click Add site to add the site to Search Console.
  12. You have now configured the plugin.
  13. Click Go to my Dashboard to continue.
  14. From the menu on the left, select Site Kit, then Dashboard.
  15. In the Analytics section, click Connect Service.
  16. Sign in with the same Google account as you used before.
  17. Grant additional permissions by clicking Continue
  18. Choose your pre-existing analytics property then click Configure Analytics
  19. Analytics is now configured.
